Nick and (the lovely) Kerry 8/6-8/14/07 Trip Report
Today, August 1st, started as many other days, got up, went to work. There the everyday routine ended and the fun began, took off from work about noon, and took a flight to LAX, wife included. Off to Air Jamaica, a bit of delay with the baggage, no worries, Hedo soon come. Baggage checked, off to the air terminal. Boarded, delayed, someone on the off going crew took a piece of important material with them when they left. Waited about 30 minutes, a substitute piece of important material was recovered, you just never know how important the little seatbelt thingy that they teach you how to latch and unlatch is until you are sitting on the tarmac wanting to just go, no worries, training finished, we are now certified latchers and unlatchers, the aircraft departs for Jamaica.
8/2, we arrive in Jamaica 35 minutes later (after a rather uneventful flight, save the seatbelt training) than we should have (but are comfortable in that we can open and close the seatbelt with the best of them) no worries, Hedo soon come.
This is our first trip since last year at this time and our 7th overall, Immigration has gone thru some changes, for the best I think, they now herd you thru some amusement park style cattle thingy to get to an immigration agent. After processing thru with no issues in no time, we went and recovered our luggage. Customs has moved too, all new area, waved right thru and on to Superclubs, all in all from aircraft landing thru immigration and customs, less than 20 minutes. The Superclubs lounge has moved, a bit smaller now, we liked the previous addition, not the wait against the wall addition, but the nice lounge with an upstairs and a downstairs. We were told 20 minutes to wait for the bus, turned out to be 40 minutes, no worries, Hedo soon come. While we waited, a few more people came in, we did the quick intros as we were all going to Hedo 3. Time to go to the van…ya mon HEDO SOON COME. Our driver tells us he needs to stop for gas, its only 8am so no worries. Asked about the road, he said it was not finished yet, he was right, still a few spots under construction, not bad, chatted with new friends, made one stop for gas and a beer, all in all, the ride took about one hour and 10 minutes, eliminate the gas stop and we are there in an hour, your mileage and time may vary.
Get to the resort, we are home, our room was ready on arrival and we invited our new friends to store their luggage in our room since theirs was not yet ready. In route to the room, we made dinner reservations as a few more of our group was due to arrive today. Took a quick shower and off to see the staff, many of whom we have known for years. First stop, Main Bar, Ionie was on duty and gave us a big “welcome home”, it was at this point that we started drinking. I had told a friend that travels with our group that since he and his wife would not be there until Saturday, that my first drink at Hedo would be for him, so VX and diet it was. For those going to the resort for the first time, I think I should point out, if you intend to drink many drinks, order the drink in reverse, VX and diet should have been diet and VX, mental note made, remember to order in reverse. As we were leaving the bar to go to lunch, we ran into our favorite bartender, Serena, said our hellos , a few drinks later and it was off to the Reggae Café where we dined to our hearts content on patties and jerk chicken. After lunch, we went back to the room for a quick nap. After a brief rest we hit the nude pool for a couple hours and watched the sunset.
Dinner that night was in the Pastafari, good food, great service, Beverly was on her toes with our party of 8. We stayed a while, made new friends with R/S from Missouri, hope GL was good for you and maybe next year you will travel with our band of merry makers. After dinner we hit the nude pool and Jacuzzi for a bit and then retired about 2am with not many folks still there.
Day one observations, Sunshine is gone, moved on to another resort, mo money, Destiny has gone the same route. The new card reading door locks were fun, though we did see a few people having issues with them, fixed quickly by the front desk with no problems. Also we took our laptop to listen to music and other non work related things, it is about 17 inches long and 12 inches wide, it did fit inside of the new safes they have in the rooms. The safes are.. install your own code types.. so we could secure items in both safes with no issues.
8/3, up and to the buffet for breakfast, French toast, bacon and made to order omelets, you can not go wrong there for breakfast, hung out at the front desk for a bit as more of our group were arriving, the resort is expected to be 100% full for the weekend as it is the national holiday for Jamaicans. We are told that there will be many locals on the resort starting tonight thru Sunday. Our friends arrived, their room was not ready, no problem mon, they put their luggage in our room and relaxed for a bit. We had lunch at Reggae Café again, dinner in the buffet with trips to the nude pool and the front desk to meet members of the group in between.
Day two observations, Hedo Rocks…nuff said.
We were at Hedo for 10 days and 9 nights, the rest of the vacation is pretty much the same, I could go into detail and bore the begeebers outta ya, we had a blast as usual, did a couple weddings, thanks for the invites S/R and Mo/Mo, hung out naked with old friends and hung out naked with new ones, ate daily. Breakfast in the buffet, lunch in Reggae Cafe and nude grill, dinner a few nights in Munasan, a few nights in Pastafari and a few nights at the buffet. The food was always edible, we are not picky eaters.
They added a few more computers to the Cyber Café outside of the fitness center bringing to 3, the total number now there.
Hot water was a plenty, towels daily, PDA’s were evident in the nude pool most hours of the day, staff great, service fantastic, can not wait for next year, 352 days, HEDO SOON COME

Nick and (the lovely) Kerry 8/6-8/14/07
Due to some family obligations we traveled a couple of days later than was our original plan, but no worries, that just meant that while many of our friends had returned to work, we were still in the nude pool. Before talking specifics- there are only a few- I would like to say that each year our trip seems to overcome some mild turbulence at some point, and get better each time we are on the island. This was by far the best trip we have had, from the food to the people we had a fantastic time. Just being there for us overcomes so much when it comes to any inconveniences.
Arrived MoBay Monday around noon, quick through customs and immigration, then out to the lounge where we found friends waiting for us. The lounge is not as nice as it used to be, given the number of changes, but we were only there for about 5 minutes before we went out to our bus. The bus ride was uneventful, with the exception of the dead crowd- hard to spread good cheer with families on the bus- not the same as a bus full of hedo people. The energy level was very much lower than we have experienced before.
So to the resort after stops at club ambience and breezes (where we raided the bar before getting back on the bus). We were met by our wonderful friends Ivy and Rick who had waited in the lobby for 2 hours for our arrival. The resort was at full capacity, with independence day locals and 2 fairly sizable groups in attendance. Check in- room ready, but not what we had arranged- no worries- roll with it.
Went to the room- not great- third floor quad on the east side. Was prepared to just deal with it, but the door would stick and Kerry could not get out of the room if she needed to- so back down to the office, met with Nehru and Leejay (who is a doll and a real help). With her help we had to wait a couple hours while another room was vacated and cleaned, but were soon moved to the 600 bldg, room 622. Some friends who traveled with us were supposed to get an OVN suite, but due to the resort being packed, they got downgraded into a regular OVN room for 2 days, refunded the difference, then moved to the suite they requested- this was their first trip to H3, but they dealt with it just fine.
Our room: the AC never seems to cool as well as I would like, but is just fine for Kerry- even too cold many times. Our room looked right down on the nude pool pussy fountain, and was shielded nicely by the grotto from most of the loud music. It was clean and except for the couple times the water was completely out, never had a problem with hot water. Maid service was great.
Shows/EC’s: while they are nice to have around and entertaining for the most part, we seldom count them as a reason we go on this trip. We did notice some new faces but I could not really tell you names. Mystery stands out since we talked with her quite a bit last year, and we did see Spike towards the end of our trip. The shows were nice, there are some extremely talented musicians floating around there. The new piano man, as we have read before, is no Glen- his name is John I believe, and we still had a great time in the piano bar most nights- he seems to be expanding his repertoire to include more racy kinds of material- it will be fun to see if he is still there and what his progress has been next year.
Pools: water pretty clean for the most part- never really saw many problems with it. The bottom of the nude pool is coming up again, but I do not believe with the year round traffic in it that it would be possible to avoid. The pool bars were good- Nude pool bartenders were exceptional- Bevlyn, Tavida, Serena, and Anecka- lovely ladies all. I hope that the resort takes measures to prevent their leaving before they take the same road Sunshine took. Our only complaint about the pools was that the music was as usual awful and repetitive after a couple hours. It would be great if they added Sirius or XM to the sound systems at the pools- that would provide some nice variety as opposed to the over and over of the same music day and night.
Food/Bars: Good throughout. The bonnet is as always excellent, the nude grill, while a little slow at times, was great (nachos every afternoon), and even the buffets were great this trip. No complaints!
So finally out to the reason we went- our friends at the nude pool. Spent most of our days and late nights there. Visited the quad once, had a nice time, just prefer the nude side. Met many many new people, and saw some of our great friends from previous trips. I am hesitant to name names, but I do not think initials will hurt: R/I (best bitches ever), S/T (new bitches), B/M (UK bitches), D/G from Atlanta, T/L from N.O., A/D from down the road, Tiff (ROY 2007), F/T from Virginia, B/S from Michigan. Many more but there were lots of beverages last week and some brain cells had to be sacrificed along the way. Speaking of beverages- W/G- after a rough afternoon and night of woowoo shots (cranberry, vodka, peach schnapps) the lovely Kerry felt she needed something a little mellower so she invented (as far as we know) a new drink. On the way back from the restroom, she created the weewee (pineapple juice, OJ, and coconut rum) pretty tasty, pretty smooth- for those of you going soon- ask Bevlyn for it by name!
Overall- this trip is our 4th, and the best one yet. We cannot wait to go back next August for AWOL week- August 2-9 2008.
